All hail the Queen!



Already an accomplished rapper and actress, Queen Latifah is turning her attention to the talk-show arena. Watch out, Wendy!

The former Covergirl’s production company Flavor Unit has teamed up with Will Smith‘s Overbook Entertainment and Sony Pictures to produce the day-time talker which has a working title of ‘The Queen Latifah Show’.

According to Deadline, the show was the subject of a fierce bidding war between networks with CBS prevailing in the end.

Slated for a Fall 2013 launch, ‘The Queen Latifah Show’ will feature celebrity interviews, human interest stories, comedy, Pop culture and musical performances. It is expected to showcase Queen Latifah’s talents, fusing comedy and music into her hosting duties.
