Former X Factor contestant Kitty Brucknell has slammed finalist Christopher Maloney in a series of drunken tweets.

Brucknell shared her support for Jahmene Douglas, but also her dislike of Maloney on Twitter during the live final.

The X Factor reject started her tirade with: "Ahahhahaa Chris just got booed at an arena! Lol!!! Manchester u rule..." (sic)

She then tweeted three minutes later: "Yeah ok. That was kinda mean. Im sorry. But im drunk and Chris is just horrible - backstage rumours are TRUE."

Brucknell also offered a disclaimer for her outbursts: "Everything I say tonight is cos I'm pissed. Completely unquoteable. Got that??? #verydrunkkitty."

After receiving criticism via the social networking site, she wrote: "Ok. No more drunken mean tweets about Chris. Deal?"
