Format for Top 40 beyond confirmed by Nigel Lythgoe
Top 40: 2 guy groups of 10 and 2 girl groups of 10. 5 move on from each group to Top 20 decided by "judges" aka judges/producers Top 20: Sudden Death from the last two seasons basically. NO Wildcards. 5 Guys and 5 Girls move on. Single elimination from there (most likely 10 will make tour) No Word if Save is returning.
