A group of young musicians has been chosen as the recipients of the BBC's Fame Academy bursaries.
The five winners will each be assigned a mentor who is considered the best in their chosen field, as well as musical education for up to three years.
The winners include Daniel Allinson, 17, who plays the marimba (a type of xylophone) and violinist David Rimbault, 23.
They will be featured in a programme on BBC One on 21 March.
Fame Academy: The Next Generation follows 20 musicians as they are assessed by experts including Jamie Cullum and Fame Academy coaches David and Carrie Grant.
