Default Emigrating/moving etc advice

Hello *waves* not as many people on here know me as they used to but I booked a one way flight to London on Sunday with my bestie and we're going to be sleeping on various friend's floors and job hunting. I've wanted to live in London nearly my whole life and well to say I'm terrified is a bit of an understatement.

Twas wondering if anyone had any advice on how to get a job, where to start looking, how best to do a job interview, how to get a house share or even things like how to live cheap. I know a lot of you are much wiser and tuned into reality than me so any help/advice would be very very much apperciated.

I'm looking for stuff like retail or admin, my ideal would be in publishing or journalism but I'll take pretty much anything and I have no specific areas(though central would be good)

And if anyone knows of anyone with a job going in London that would be great too
