This is kinda long and taken from another site. It's about Alex Rockwell, you probably have never heard of her, but her story is sad and at the same time inspiring.

My name is Alexandria Rockwell

I'm a 17 year-old high school graduate

I love to do a lot of things

Laugh, read, write, especially eat.

But, there's one thing I REALLY love to do

Inspire others

That is something I believe Alex really did. Alex Rockwell was born with Cystic Fibrosis. For people that don't know what that is, Cystic fibrosis is a disease passed down through families that causes thick, sticky mucus to build up in the lungs, digestive tract, and other areas of the body. It is one of the most common chronic lung diseases in children and young adults. It is a life-threatening disorder.

Alex had always been a constant fighter, whether she was in her hospital bed

Accessing ports

taking her daily pills,

or sleeping on the job.

Cystic Fibrosis may be a struggle,

but Alex had never let it take over her life.

She wouldn't go down without a fight.

When Alex wasn't at the hospital, she was your regular teenager for the most part. She had lways had a cooky sense of fashion, but she always made it work.

She was obsessed with gummy worms

She loved shooting arrows

And she'd love to goof around

Sadly, however, on April 26, 2013, Alex Rockwell lost her fight. She died at the University of Michigan's hospital around 3am.

She gave Cystic Fibrosis one hell of a fight

And touched hundreds of peoples hearts

I know not many of you will really care about this, or even read, but I feel that Alex will always be inspiring myself and others for the rest of eternity. Breathe easy, Alex.

So yes, I do love to inspire, and I can

But here's the thing

It's not because of this illness

Tubes of oxygen, IV antibiotics, and nebulizers could easily hold me back

But I won't stay down

I will cry, become lost and pissed off, & I'll want to give up at times

I will smile, become stronger and wiser, and I will fight through it all

No matter what!

I may not be cured, but I already beat this disease
