Default Danielle to be in new Spice Girls musical - what the hell next?!!!

From today's Daily Stir (sorry Star)!

It's Danielle Spice
22/02/07
SHE was only a nipper when Spicemania took the world by storm.

But it looks like Danielle Lloyd is set to experience Girl Power for herself – in their new musical.

We’ve had our ears to the ground about the development of the West End’s homage to the Spice Girls and the 23-year-old Scouser is top of the casting wish list.

But not to play fellow Liverpudlian Melanie Chisholm, 33. She has been earmarked to play Emma “Baby” Bunton in the all-singing and all-dancing extravaganza.

Media mogul Simon Fuller, 46, the man behind the band’s Spiceworld movie, is hoping to get a few names involved in the project.

And Danielle shares the “youthful exuberance and fresh-faced beauty” that the girls embodied when they first tottered into the world on their Buffalo platforms in 1994.

Our source told us: “The musical is still in its early planning stages. But Simon wants to cast a mixture of faces and unknowns in the project. He wants it to feel both familiar and innocent.

“What was wonderful about the Spice Girls was that ordinary girls could relate to them. They had the same hair and wore the same clothes.

“Danielle has that same youthful exuberance and fresh- faced beauty that they had then, before they became polished superstars.

“She’s the beautiful girl-next-door, just like they were.

“It’s possible she might make mistakes but she’ll keep on smiling.

“That’s why she’s been pencilled in to audition for Emma’s role.”

But Danielle – pictured right – will have to get the thumbs-up from the real Emma, now 31 and expecting her first child, if she wants to land the dream role.
Our mole added: “Simon has promised the girls that they can have the final say about who will play them in the show and that’s that.

“She doesn’t have anything to worry about that, though.

“If Danielle can cope with the singing and dancing – she’ll have to be rigorously trained – then Emma will undoubtedly give her the green light.”

Danielle can command six-figure fees for her work but this project could signal a departure for the trained beautician, if she can cut it.

If the Celebrity Big Brother star, who is dating Teddy Sheringham, 40, is really savvy, she could even launch her own reality TV show.

Spiceworld: The Musical is not expected to be ready to go into production until the middle of next year but there’s already a huge buzz about it.

It will tell the band’s story from their days in a cramped flat via Victoria Beckham’s amazing wedding, Geri Halliwell’s departure and the bitter end.
We’re streaking our hair already in anticipation.

So prepare to unleash your inner Scary, Sporty, Ginger, Posh or Baby.

Enough of Take That, bring on the Spice Girls renaissance – and Dani, you’ve got a powerful legacy to live up to, so Say You’ll Be There.

Sorry if you are a Danielle fan, but I could not resist the temptation to disfigure her!
