Shotgun on Doherty\'s tourbus
Quote:
Shotgun on Doherty's tourbus
THESE shocking pictures show a deadly doublebarrelled shotgun being waved around on PETE DOHERTY’s tour bus.
A source close to his band BABYSHAMBLES insists it is real, and that Pete himself bought it for £400 on the black market — as protection for the group.
KATE MOSS today needs to again seriously consider whether she wants daughter Lila Grace around Pete, a junkie who is apparently happy to be around guns.
Just the thought of Pete, drugs and firearms sends a shiver down my spine.
Such a lethal combination is nothing short of a tragedy waiting to happen.
Pete apparently bought the weapon last autumn.
The band use the bus to travel around the country for live shows.
They are usually paid in cash and can be carrying up to £50,000 a time with them.
I have been told they wanted a “frightener” to scare off any potential thieves.
Guitarist MICK WHITNALL is seen above right grinning manically while an unknown man brandishes the gun. Mick then grabbed it himself. In the inset picture he is menacingly pointing it towards the camera and staring down both barrels.
A worried pal of the band witnessed a night of drink- fuelled mayhem on the bus during which these pictures were taken.
He said: “They are not toys — these are serious weapons and after a mad night the band start to forget that. It completely kicks off on that bus after a gig. They are wired from the performance, then they all get right on the booze.
“The gun gets put away when Kate is around but as soon as she’s gone it is out again.
“They are always boasting about it.
“It’s become a bit of a trophy for them now — something flash they can scare people with.”
Chillingly, he added: “It will only be a matter of time before someone snaps and it all goes very badly wrong.”
If Kate does know all about this then she should do the right thing immediately and report it to the police.
An Association of Chief Police Officers spokesman said last night: “It is illegal to carry an unlicensed firearm.
“If somebody knows of an illegal firearm being carried it should be reported to the police for investigation.”
Could this be the final shock to scare Kate into doing what’s best for her and her child, dumping Dangerous Doherty?
It should be, but somehow I doubt it . . .
