![]() [As a regular fixture on television since her days in the hit drama Cold Feet, Hermione Norris could be expected to live a comfortable life. Yet the actress has claimed British television pays such meagre wages that she buys her groceries from Asda’s budget range. The claims are surprising, coming as they do from an actress who earned a reported £75,000 per episode for the final series of ITV’s Cold Feet in 2003. However, Norris said times are tougher. “It’s quite a different industry now and the money has gone down hugely. So there’s still quite a bit of Asda Smart Price going on in my life. I certainly don’t squander cash lightly,” said Norris, 46. “I think, perhaps, if you work in America, the fees are still very good. But my life is here and I love British drama. If those beans come from Asda’s Smart Price range, they will cost 24p. Other bargains include a 71p lasagne." ] http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/t...lue-range.html Sign Of The Times Last edited by arista; 14-03-2014 at 03:50 PM. |
