Default The loan system - time for reform?

There's something very creepy and sinister about Chelsea loaning out 20+ players this season. It feels like big clubs are hoovering up the talent and withdrawing them from the market unless it's to send out out on loan and control other clubs's team selection. It feels tactical eg as if Chelsea could dictate team selection of the other club. What if Lukaku goals had resulted in Everton pushing Chelsea for third CL place, would Mourinho dictate that he stop playing to prevent Everton overtaking Chelsea?

This dominance in loan system came back to bite Chelsea on the bum as Lukaku's successful shipping off to Everton indirectly helped result in Chelsea not scoring enough goals to win title and then there was the Atletico Madrid goalkeeping fiasco where Mourinho almost pretended not to know that players are not cup tied internationally on loan.

The parent club should have no say in team selection of loanee club, so if it goes against the parent club eg Thibaut Courtois, then it's too bad.
