Big Brother 7 stars Imogen Thomas and Shahbaz have lent a touch of celebrity glamour to a wedding in Llanelli.Thirty-eight-year-old Glaswegian Shahbaz was in town to see fellow contestant Imogen Thomas's sister Alana Davies marry Chilean journalist Enrique Carlos Quevedo Diaz .
Shabaz made his name by sensationally walking out of the last "Big Bro" series after just six days.
Alana admitted at the Llanelli Town Hall ceremony he had been invited as a guest - but could have been the perfect bridesmaid.
She said: "He was fussing over my dress train, making sure it was just so for the photographer."
Shabaz was in town for four days.
He turned heads at Trimsaran's Bird in Hand pub and at the local Workingmen's Club, and sent regular customers' mobiles in meltdown as both venues filled with youngsters seeking his autograph.
Teetotal Shahbaz downed mineral water and danced to Kylie records.
Imogen said she and Shahbaz had stayed good friends after the show, and he had wanted to be at Alana's wedding.
Shahbaz said: "Wedding bells may never sound for me. I have never been in love and I have lived on my own for 22 years. I think men are afraid of my flamboyant personality."
He did not think Big Brother 7 was a mistake.
"The show just couldn't handle me," he said. "But I must have done something right. They have invited me back for Big Brother 8 as one of their reporters. I think they are planning on holding on to me for more than six days this time."
Alana met Enrique while working as beauty therapist on the Royal Caribbean cruise liner where he was a waiter.
Enrique said they would not be taking a honeymoon because they had already spent two years visiting the most exotic places in the world while courting.
He said: "I have accepted a post as a correspondent with the Chilean Embassy in London.
"In December I will take my new bride home for a blessing of our wedding in Santiago.
"Shahbaz will be welcome to come to that too, because Imogen and my new mother and father-in-law, Jan and Stuart, are coming too ."
Imogen was not letting any light shine on her matrimonial plans.
She said: "I am really busy after Big Brother. I have scores of engagements, but none of the matrimonial kind.
"This is Alana's special day. I missed my brother's wedding when I was in Big Brother but this one was postponed to ensure I could attend.
"Wedding bells for me? They are a long way off."
