I don't think she lacks awareness, I think she's just plain fake.
Her act would be kind of convincing if we didn't know what we know of her outside and inside the house she reveals herself when she loses her temper.
She's finding out what all the people who tried to act their way through the show found out before, that you can't keep it up for long or all the time.
She made me laugh in the diary room when she said "that's not me, I don't have a temper". Even with Jale in the bedroom/bathroom discussion she was getting irate.
What a mess she is.
