Producers are planning to "capitalise" on the heightened interest in Big Brother because of the race row, according to a report.

Bosses are apparently planning another edgy series to keep viewers' interest by challenging housemates more than ever.

The Daily Star Sunday also says this summer's series will be built around the theme of "Saints and Sinners” - pushing contestants in eight categories.

Among the new initiatives, a spa has been added to the bedroom to encourage lust. Slothful housemates - who sleep or rest too much - will be put up for eviction as punishment and all will have to demonstrate their pride by telling the public why they should win.

An source told the paper: “The 14 hopefuls are going to be pushed to their absolute limits. They won’t know what has hit them.

“There is a huge amount of interest in BB8 after the race row. But instead of playing it safe bosses want to capitalise on the extra publicity and make sure this is the best series ever.”
