The Sun: \'Chris cashes in\'
Quote:
RADIO loudmouth Chris Moyles is getting a whopping £50,000 to host TV’s Friday Night Project — £20,000 more than other guest hosts.
He’ll get the cash to join Justin Lee Collins and Alan Carr on the Channel 4 show for ONE NIGHT.
A telly source said: “Moyles is a big draw, everyone loves him — and we were prepared to pay whatever it took.
“Our guest stars normally get £30,000 but Moyles is worth more.”
The Sun told last year how the self-styled “saviour of early morning radio” gets around £630,000 a year for his Radio One show.
Moyles will be especially pleased about his pay day — because we revealed that David Gest is only getting £35,000.
Moyles BANNED the Grease is the Word judge from his show when he was 40 minutes late two weeks ago, ranting: “I don’t care how many of the bloody Jacksons you know. Don’t stand me up. Grease isn’t the word.”
Moyles, 32, was in talks with ITV bosses about his own show last year after his stint on X Factor: Battle of the Stars. The insider added: “This is likely to be a good springboard for TV projects for Chris.”
TV Biz can reveal that Cilla Black will also be a guest presenter on Friday Night Project.
Cilla, 63, has been briefly on Parkinson, So Graham Norton, Friday Night With Jonathan Ross and Room 101 since quitting Blind Date in 2003.
Little Britain star David Walliams will also host an episode.
