Big Brother winner Helen's ex boyfriend Louis Larsson was arrested in Cyprus after pleading guilty to possession of firearm parts and reactivation equipment



Big Brother winner Helen Wood unwittingly led police to her fugitive lover after he fled the country, a court heard.

Louis Larsson, 29, fled Britain after being released on licence halfway through a five-year jail term.

But he was captured in Cyprus after cops followed the former prostitute to the Mediterranean island.

Larsson was jailed in October 2010 after pleading guilty to possession of firearm parts and reactivation equipment.

He went abroad in May last year breaching the terms of his licence.

Geoff Whelan, prosecuting said: “The defendant fled the jurisdiction and was arrested on an international arrest warrant in Cyprus in spring this year.

“Police followed his girlfriend Helen, who gained notoriety in Big Brother , and arrested him there.”

It is understood Miss Wood, 27, who won Big Brother 2014 last month , is no longer in a relationship with Larsson.

He was arrested in April after a joint investigation between Greater Manchester Police, Cypriot police and the National Crime Agency.

Larsson was returned prison to serve the remainder of his five-year sentence and was given a further concurrent 20-month sentence for two fresh charges of possession of ammunition, which he admitted.

These related to a raid at a house in Bolton in May 2013, the same month that he fled the country.

David Bentley, defending at Bolton crown court, said Larsson had long been interested in military memorabilia and already has a job in the dental industry lined up for when he leaves prison.

Larsson, from Bradshaw, near Bolton, Greater Manchester, will not be released before April 29, 2016.
