The Sun: BB\'s secret garden for turf love
Quote:
BIG Brother chiefs have built a secret garden so randy housemates can slip away for a bit of night-time nookie.
As our exclusive pictures show, the new area is hidden from the main lawn.
And we can reveal bosses are so keen for it to be used for nocturnal naughtiness that the only access will be from the bedroom — although the contestants will have to EARN the right to use it.
And there will only be ONE double bed in the bedroom. An insider said: “This year’s show is all about sparking romance and fun, to avoid a repeat of the angry scenes from Celebrity Big Brother.
“But bosses are well aware getting some privacy can be difficult so we created a secret garden that couples can sneak off to from the bedroom.”
The insider added: “Some of BB’s best storylines have been romances. Paul and Helen’s fling and Stuart and Michelle’s romance were great love stories and gave those series a nice glow. That’s what we want to repeat.”
This year’s BB logo has been developed to ape the spirit of the psychedelic love and peace Sixties. Producers are also planing more “fun” tasks to avoid too much conflict among the housemates — and get people laughing more.
Many of last year’s tasks — such as the milk barrel — were criticised for being too tedious, irritating the housemates and causing friction.
The source added: “We’ve learnt our lesson. It might be fun to wind them up but it’s not always great TV.”
Meanwhile, producers have spent thousands on hi-tech ASTROTURF instead of grass.
The move comes after last year’s garden turned into a dustbowl. An insider said: “Last year’s hot weather made the garden look awful on TV.
“So we’ve coughed up for astroturf this year — its more expensive but it will look a lot nicer and be more enjoyable for the housemates.”
The aerial shots of the house were taken by 192.com.
