Liverpool amongst others napped a few Saints players from last season, Arsenal got Chambers, Man U Shaw, and Spurs the manager. Saints were relegation fodder except they weren't. Koeman came in, brought in Pelle and a few other cheap bargains and drew from Saints youth squad.

A whopping 8 goals against Sunderland, brilliant defending with only 5 goals let in, banking loads of cash for Shaw, Lovren et al, knocking Arsenal out of cups and currently making 2nd place seem natural. Lovely, but let's be honest the big clubs like Liverpool, Man U who still have defensive frailty will be wacking out their shopping trolleys at Southampton for some cheap defensive bargains. Enjoy it whilst it last Saints fans, cos LVG, Rodgers and Wenger are coming to nab your defenders on the cheap.
