This one of the woodland is absolutely stunning Ammi. The light plays in such a way that the scene is almost surreal. I've been in this wood when I was a child. Deeper into the woods the floor gently rises and the fallen leaves are hidden beneath a carpet of bluebells.
There is a knotted single rope swing hanging from a lower branch of a gnarled old oak which overhangs the higher ground, and here the woodland carpet is devoid of leaves or bluebells - made threadbare from the feet of hundreds of reckless children who have mounted the stick seat of the swing over years gone by.
I look at this photo and I can hear the laughter and familiar voices of those long-distant friends, all too grown now to ride that swing, and some sadly passed who will never smell the fallen leaves, or laugh again.
A beautiful photo Ammi.
