SIGH

I've been browsing this forum for add-ons that might work well on the forum.
[GlowHost] Spam-O-Matic for vB 3.8 (StopForumSpam, Akismet, Auto-Moderation and more) https://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=248470 How it works: New registrations are checked against the known spammer database at StopForumSpam.com. If the email, IP, or username exists in their database, the user (or bot as the case may be) is denied registration on your forums. If they make it past the SFS check, they are checked against several Automatic Moderation rules, and are also checked against the Akismet service for known comment spam. Quick Auto Image-Resize (Posts & Signature) https://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=214600 Here's a very simple mini-mod that will resize all images in posts & signatures by using a max-width css attribute, along with an onclick function to open the normal-sized picture in a new window. This product is super simple and has only a few lines of code. Keep in mind that as far as I know, max-width still gets rendered a tad off on IE (not much of a fan with ie anyway, but that's beside the point) on certain versions. Although i tested on IE7 with only a few images and it didn't look so bad at all. Perfect for me on firefox, chrome, etc. If you're looking for something with a bit more options and functionality (javascript effects, more options, etc.) please take a look at: Image Resizer. Advanced User Tagging v3 https://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=242734 DragonByte Technologies is proud to present [DBTech] Advanced @User Tagging. This version introduces several major new features that users have requested, and some others we were unable to fit in v1.0. The @user Tagging mod is designed to increase activity on your forum by allowing members to mention each other in posts when talking about them. This is done in a very easy way, very similar to how Twitter mentions people. We use @ ; as the tags, so for instance you could say: ---- This new mod from @Dragonbyte Tech; is pretty cool. ---- The “@DragonByte Tech;” Will become a link to the DragonByte Tech users profile, it will also inform DragonByte Tech they had been mentioned, and link to the relevant thread/post via a new area in the profile section, as well as a new tab in the shoutbox. It also allows members to “tag” the thread for specific other members by inputting their usernames in the tag box above the posts of the thread. This is a great way to increase your forum activity with no extra admin input required – people will start to mention posts/threads to their friends, which will increase the amount of posting. This is especially useful of forums which have an international contingent (so threads posted in during the night for some of your members don't go overlooked) or forums which have a lot of posts/threads each day – again to make sure that a post a person might want to read doesn't get lost in the crowd. vBShout v6 (vB3) https://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=241651 vBShout is the ideal way to keep members on your forum while they wait for replies to their posts. It can be used in many ways - as a chat room for members, for staff to discuss issues in realtime, as a live-update feed of new posts and threads, as a way to track member milestones... Best of all, you can have multiple boxes in use for multple purposes! Who Quoted Me https://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=258001 In the user control panel, users can now see a list of the last few people who have quoted them. This is a great way to encourage users to interact with each other as they can easily keep track of conversations within threads. Just a couple of things that could be good for the forum.
