Default 'People won't let me move on from #abusedbysimongross'

'Big Brother evictee Simon Gross has complained that the people behind the #abusedbysimongross hashtag won't let him move on.

Gross - who was evicted last night in a shock launch twist - has been the centre of controversy thanks to the hashtag, which sees actors alleging that he has failed to pay them and has behaved unprofessionally towards them.

Speaking to reporters this morning, Gross snickered when the hashtag was mentioned, saying: "I'm laughing because this happened in 2002.

"I put on a production in central London and the show didn't work. It was July, it was a really hot month, it was underground in a venue in the Charing Cross area and people just didn't come and see the show.

"I put all my money into the venue, and the venue wanted me to guarantee it – I guaranteed it. And because the show didn't do anything, I had to declare myself bankrupt."

Gross claimed that the situation was "very, very, very, very hard" and added: "People won't leave me alone about it. They just keep going on and on and on about it and just won't let me move on.

"I would apologise for anything if I had to, but at the end of the day I went bankrupt because I put on a production and it just didn't work.

"It just seems that people just won't let me move on. Big Brother was the next chapter of my life to try and move on and try and put the past behind me."

Gross also admitted that he has no idea what the reaction to his Big Brother exit has been, saying: "I don't go on Twitter any more!"

He previously brushed off the Twitter storm in an interview with Digital Spy, saying: "I've never killed anybody, I've never committed a real crime, so why the hell should I be worried about what people write about me on Twitter or say about me at my local gym or in the shop down the road? Does it really matter?"'
