Default Oh Brother! Day 21

Both the Daily Express and Daily Mail do a day by day updaye of what going on in the hoysse. They are a great if you have been away on holiday and you need to catch up. Normlly I don't post them because most of the stuff in them is on the site. This one is a bit different.

Quote:
OH BROTHER! DAY 21
AS WE wait for this week's nominations to be revealed, now is a good moment to check out who's being tipped as evictee no 2 (or 3 if you count Emily's untimely departure).

In fact, the bookies are unanimous in their order of the five most likely to get the elbow: Charley (1/2 on with Paddy Power), followed by Nicky, Laura, Carole and Jonathan. So who's going to go?

Charley

Charley's been top of the eviction charts pretty much since day one. She seems to have wound up most of the new housemates already and saw her key ally Shabs evicted last week, so it's difficult to see how she'll escape the public vote this week. She's been trying to preempt criticism of her celeb-hanging lifestyle by explaining that it's not name-dropping, it's just her life as it is, OK? And, of course, if she ever did get famous, she'd still always just be "Charley from the block", keep it real, keep her feet on the ground yeah. She's also upset that BB seems to have turned her into someone who keeps getting into arguments. Cripes - we'd better keep her in, or we'll never get a chance to see the real Charley (the one from the block).

Chances of going: very high. If she's up for the chop, there's no helping her.

Nicky

Nicky's odds are so short, I think, because of all the rowing about food and that slightly moany tone of voice she's got. The other housemates felt she was getting on their case about meals; she felt she was looking out for their bellies. Serves her right for trying to put someone else before herself: that sort of nonsense doesn't go unpunished in the BB house. Actually, Nicky seems to have chilled out a lot (ever since PorkPie-gate) and ceased taking herself so seriously. She's certainly started glamming up since the new lads came in. Or so I thought, until PervGate erupted: Nicky believes Jonathan has been eyeing her up and making her feel uncomfortable. Yet I don't think she'd mind Liam showing her some close attention.

Chances of going: medium. But she'd win a vote-off against Jonathan or Laura or Charley.

Laura

I feel sorry for Laura. She tends to get overlooked in the house by the more obviously pretty, glammed-up girls, and to the new lads looking for totty she's virtually invisible. Unfortunately she's not helped herself with a few bad-tempered outbursts and a generally passive demeanour. She can be prescient, however: she told Ziggy she didn't like him for hooking up with Chanelle as he'd never have even looked at a 19-year-old girl outside of the house. Which is exactly what Ziggy admitted to Trace this week.

Chances of going: strong, if Charley's not up.

Carole

The Mother of the House is in this group of potential evictees solely because of her sulky side. By walking out of meetings and effectively sabotaging the group's meagre efforts to get organised, she gives everyone an obvious reason to vote for her, especially as the rest of the housemates look to her to be the calm, caring, sensible one so they get on with being hysterical, melodramatic, argumentative and totally self-focused. But Carole's also a great laugh, and I still think she has every chance of making it to the last week.

Chances of going: safe.

Jonathan

While we don't wish to condone Jonathan's gawping (if gawping it was), you've got to expect a bit of this sort of thing when you enter a house with a bunch of wannabes and show-offs who sleep six to a bed and dress and shower in front of each other all the time. There's something of a double standard, too, when the younger lads can talk with impunity about needing more "easy birds" in the house while Jonathan, who's done nothing but sing Nicky's praises and clearly genuinely likes her, gets stigmatised. Indeed, many seasoned BB-watchers have leapt to his
defence.

Says one contributor to the Betfair forum: "It's cos he's ove 40. Anyone over that age who even thinks about looking at an attractive woman is a perv." And another: "I think Nicky's bang out of order, accusing Jonathan on national TV of 'perving' over her just because he happened to be looking at her once or twice... they're all in a confined space and she is quite attractive after all! It's not like he's made crude comments or tweaked her ****." So perhaps he'll have some supporters if he faces the public vote. On the other hand, he's an arrogant tycoon with six million in the bank who keeps saying "I don't need the money"...

Chances of going: strong, if Charley's not up.
