Seeing Pipergun's sig reminded me...
Last year it was now (blimey!) some of the young folk I had been working with at the time wanted someone musical to come and meet them, and Natalie of Cascada fame was the best I could do after numerous other acts failed to reply or sent 'sorry but....' replies from record labels/agents/managers etc.
She wasn't famous in England at the time, but had already made it in Germany (How do you do.... was a huge hit over there) and we didn't know she was going to be quite the success that she is over here.
Anyway, she agreed to meet the young people and was very pleasant, very English (I know she has English parents, but she's in reality, German) and occasionally e-mails still, when not very busy. She gave the youngsters bits of memorabillia but did not sing
Very nice lady - not as pretty in real life, but still not bad

and when i've moved to the South West shortly, i'm gonna try and convince her to come and meet my next set of clients or something, although i'll warn her, it's not London (and it won't be for a while until i've settled in)
I have some stuff still that wasn't taken at the time, but it'll be in boxes somewhere ready to be transported
I hadn't forgotten that experience, but Pipergun's sig reminded me.
Sorry, had to tell you all as it was a good experience as she was so unfamous and modest
