Oh yeah, he was definitely preferable to some of the others and I do think he's fundamentally decent, it just irked me how, during the final, everyone kept drumming in how amazingly nice and gentlemanly he was at all times etc and flashbacks of him being unnecessary nasty about Alicia just flooded into my mind.
