The X Factor producers have two weeks to save the ITV talent show before its BBC rival Strictly returns to screens following its triumphant launch show, according to a new report.

It's claimed the judges - Simon Cowell, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw - along with presenters Caroline Flack and Olly Murs have been ordered to 'overhaul their images' in a bid to beat SCD in the ongoing ratings war.



An ITV insider told the Daily Star: 'While it’s off air for a two-week break, bosses know this is their chance to boost popularity for X Factor.

'So they’re keen to ensure all eyes are on The X Factor when Strictly returns. It’s like a total image overhaul, they all want to impress.'

The report added that Caroline, 35, has jetted off to Portugal where she attend the 'Juicy Oasis' retreat at Rio Zêzere, living off a diet of vitamin-packed juices, a rigorous exercise regime and spea treats.

Meanwhile, Rita, 24, and Cheryl, 32, are said to be eyeing up their sexiest frocks yet ahead of the Live Shows.
