The BBC is reinstating the UK national final for the Eurovision entry but with an X-Factor-style twist.
Acts will be asked to submit an original track, then an industry panel will whittle the entrants down so the British public can choose who they want to represent the UK.
Host Graham Norton thinks the new search for a song element is a great idea.
He said: "I think it really shows that they take the competition seriously and the fact that the public will get the final say on who is sent to represent the UK in Stockholm next year is the icing on the cake!"
