From The Daily Star
BB host Davina McCall has been fixing it for hate target Charley Uchea to stay in the show. She silenced a hostile crowd calling for her to be kicked out. And instead she urged them to chant to keep Charley in. Fans fears of a fix mounted during the latest eviction warm-up at the Elstree studios, Herts, which is never screened. BB fan James Adams, 28, said last night: “Davina came on stage and said to the crowds ‘Let’s change the chant to Keep Charley in’. “Then she said ‘keep her in because she’s entertaining’. “We had all been chanting ‘Get Charley Out’ every time her name was mentioned so we were a bit shocked. “Some of the crowd changed tactics and did what she asked and others didn’t. Then it became a battle of the boos and Davina laughed ‘I like that’. When the show went live everyone started chanting ‘Get Charley Out’ once again. “And the next time Davina came on stage she was a bit more stern and said she didn’t want to hear ‘Get Charley Out’ chants anymore. “She said ‘Charley’s not up for eviction this week and if you keep chanting her name you will be giving her the attention she wants’. “It was like being at school. Davina was the headmistrees who had told everyone off.” The fix row erupted as model Billi Bhatti, 25, was voted out. Fans at Elstree had already threatened to hijack proceedings. They claim that producers know viewers will evict Charley, 22, leaving a massive hole in the show. Last night a show spokeswoman said: “At every Big Brother live show Davina has always exchanged humorous banter with the crowd and has always encouraged them to be positive about all the housemates. “With a live audience it’s up to them what they say.” Meanwhile the odds on the Big Brother winner are 11-4 Liam, 10-3 Brian, 7-2 Amanda, 10-1 Gerr and, Sam, 12-1 Chanelle, 16-1 Ziggy, 20-1 Tracey, 25-1 Carole, 33-1 Charley, 40-1 Nicky, 50-1 Laura. http://www.dailystar.co.uk/news_detail.html?sku=1962 |
