Jason has reacted defensively to Dan's tongue-in-cheek suggestion that his roots are a different colour to his hair - and swore that he will prove the true colour of the follicles on his bonce.

Hairdresser Dan has a canny eye for his housemates' manes, and after shrewdly observing Jason's beard, chest hairs and mop top, thought he'd have a bit of a giggle by calling him a "ginger-haired Scotsman".

The accused - who moments earlier had vehemently denied charges that he was more hirsute than most - was unsmiling as Dan slapped his thigh and laughed heartily.

"Daniel," he began, "I'll crack the ********** jokes if they need cracking," he retorted.

"********** ginger," Jay grumbled under his breath, clearly hoping that was the end of it.

But the tress expert wasn't to be intimidated by the Jungle Cat's mutterings. "I'd put money on it," he challenged.

Jason pledged to prove his "fairness" by - on a future date - producing photographs of his younger self, in which, he insists, he is "platinum blonde".


"PLATINUM blonde," he emphasised. "[Not] ********** ginger."
