Prince Andrew's ex-girlfriend Koo Stark has reportedly quit Celebrity Big Brother, before the show even got started.

The American actress, 59, - whose fling with the royal in the 1980s came to an end after it was revealed she's starred in an erotic movie- was reportedly in talks to take part in the Channel 5 show, but it seems producers won't be getting the royal scandal they were hoping for.

A source told The Sun: “Koo has remained discreet about her fling with Andrew but Channel 5 hoped the other celebs might get her chatting and she would spill some juicy royal secrets.”

The prince's former lover broke 32 years of silence to open up about her relationship with the royal earlier this year.

After meeting on blind date in 1982, a besotted Andrew took Koo to favourite royal hotspot Mustique and even invited her to meet his family at Balmoral.

While there were rumours of an engagement the couple were forced to break off the romance after it was revealed she's starred in the racy 1974 film, Emily.

Channel 5 have confirmed that Celebrity Big Brother will officially return to screens on Tuesday 5 January at 9pm, but who will provide the fireworks this year?

The rumour mill is in overdrive over the crop of stars heading into the infamous house, with Darren Day, Hollyoaks babe Stephanie Davis, Made In Chelsea star Spencer Matthews, I'm A Celebrity favourite Lady Colin Campbell and TOWIE hunk James Lock all tipped to feature in the line-up.
