Well you only picked up on Opening night, what about the calculation of whole rating, BB7 just beat BB5.

The number of people who watched any given series of BB comes down to many things. In particular, the competition (or lack of) in the same timeslot. The difference in the stats is mostly marginal, so hardly conclusive. But even if BB7 had treble the viewing figure of any other series, that doesn't mean that it was 'the best'. Everyone likes different series for different reasons, as the polls here prove. That's their choice, and they're hardly likely to be swayed by someone coming along and telling them that they're wrong, with nothing to back it up. BB7 had 21 hm's, and most of them sucked. Nikki may have been one of the best hm's BB has ever had, but that's more than cancelled out by the fact that BB7 made us suffer Aisleyne, Grace, Sezer, Mikey, Spiral, Michael, Susie, Shahbaz, George, Glyn & Jayne.

I understand what you mean, but people were claiming BB5 had higher ratings than BB7, when it didn't, BB7 just squeezed past, but you also forgot, BB7 had world Cup, BB5 had Euro 2000 which ends to about 3 weeks, and world cup over a month.

Farhad, Big Brother 2004 had an average of 5m viewers, BB7 only had 4.7m. The reason why BB7 was high was because it started earlier than any other BBUK series, thus establishing itself earlier. Otherwise it would have had lower ratings.

5 million not every night, but one thing it help BB7 in ratings push up, was the launch night, and then the ratings were going up, due to that.
