Default The eye of the storm (Thunder/Lightning)

I need to go back six years ago now and a massive storm emerged and Thunder & Fork Lightning were right above in the darkest greyest clouds ever and the rain was coming down like a river.

Suddenly, our house got struck by lightning twice

There was a massive bang behind our video recorder, at the sockets in the wall.

They say that you should un-plug everything when there is a thunder storm, sadly we didn't do that and ended up with a damaged sky-digi-box and two video recorders both blown

Of course, it could strike your house and set your house on fire, naturally?

When you are outside in a field or any open place, they say that the safest thing to do, is to crouch down & make yourself as small as you can, almost like a ball.

It is the safest position.

DON'T LIE DOWN.

DON'T STAND UP

DON'T HIDE UNDER A TREE

DON'T HOLD AN UMBERELLA

Another safe place, is in your car. Your rubber tyres on the wheels are perfect for your safety.

But we all have to accept the fact, that one day, we may be at the (eye-of-the-storm) and when that day comes, what would you do?

I know how scary it was and since then, Thunder storms frighten me & from what happened on that one-single-day, believe-you-me, you'd understand
