I think a lot of her sudden popularity was based on the fact that many disliked Marco and she seemed the only one willing to 'go against' him so to speak. A lot of the time favorites are picked based on who people dislike the most (anti-Aarons suddenly loving Jay, anti-Dexter suddenly supporting Sam...etc etc), its a trend I have noticed year after year. It MAY not be the case here, but I do suspect it is.

I agree with this, I'm guilty of it. Marco annoyed the hell out of me so I just enjoyed seeing someone go against him and voice what were also my views.
