You obviously care about how your family would relate to this person. Especially if you're very close to them. But the idea that anyone truly TRULY likes someone after having spent all of 4 or 5 days in total with them is absurd anyway. She's just recognising the reality of the situation, expressing what her doubts and fears would be, and playing it carefully. Somehow you've made her out to be this two faced bitch whose leading him on but who would be ashamed of him.
let's at least be fair to a person when discussing what they've said and not use it to paint some monstrous caricature of her.
