Tell Me A Story
Quote:
After hammering away at their typewriters for the last hour the housemates have completed their latest task.
"We've just got three more words [to type]!" pleaded Shell as Big Brother instructed them to stop typing.
As they waited on the sofa for further instructions, Jason expressed doubts he and Michelle had managed to bash out 500 words.
Stuart and Shell studied their effort, fearing they too had fallen short of the 500 word minimum.
"We don't even wanna *******ing read it," protested Michelle.
Daniel and Nadia were first to read out their offering, taking up positions on the walkway as instructed Big Brother.
"The day was Saturday..." the pair began a glossy Hollywood style epic featuring Nadia in the glamorous starring role.
"'What are you looking for?" asked a fabulous looking Nadia,'" they read, describing a meeting between Emma and the Portuguese siren.
"That wasn't my idea," insisted Nadia of her prominent role, as they completed a story based on celebrity.
Jason and Michelle's story was also a nail-biting tale of fame and fortune, with Shell, Vanessa and Michelle cast as rival ballet dancers.
"Michelle had always dreamt of becoming a world-famous ballet dancer..." Jason and Michelle commenced, as the story went on to unravel the gripping tale of a dance competition between the ballet dancers.
Clearly desperate for material, they peppered their story with endless repetitions of the word "dance."
Repeating the word over and over, it took on a hypnotic quality provoking the housemates to add a vocal dance beat to the chant. "Spun" was given the same treatment.
"500 words!" said Jason proudly as they finished.
"Do you think we cheated?" asked Michelle.
Shell and Stuart were the final pair, reading a fairytale starring Daniel as "Dandalf" and Stuart as an invincible hero - naturally. Shell appeared as a fairy in a world where the housemates ate butterfly cakes and chocolate brownies, and drank fairy wine.
The story - ending with all the characters remaining friends - prompted a round of applause from all.
Someone wasn't impressed though.
"That was crap," said Michelle.
