It's not the hm's being softly softly with Ev it's probably because they don't have an issue with her. Jackson tried to defend himself (not softly at all) but he was talking **** and Ev clocked him for it.

She faced an insecure paranoid mess that accused her of all sorts and tried to turn other hm's against her for no reason. There's one.
