Default The producers wanted the crowd to throw Haribo sweets at Laura.

Quote:
The live audience has been vocal about their distaste for the aspiring actress since day one and with a high likelihood that she would be the one getting the boot, Daily Star Online wanted to see what actually happens at a live eviction.

The results were... er, interesting, to say the least.

While many of the contestants this series have been accused of playing up to the cameras, it seems as though the same can be said for the live audience.

As around 200 people crammed the staging area, production crew were very clear about how they wanted them to act.

The warmup guy, Stu, encouraged audiences to be extremely vocal about the housemate they loved or loathed.

He placed emphasis on the latter, suggesting fans boo loudly whenever the name of the nominee they wanted evicted was mentioned by host Emma Willis or when their image was shown on the huge display screens.

Stu told the crowd: "You can not stand there and do nothing. You have literally got to go chicken oriental tonight."

He then joked that throwing shoes was not permitted.

In an attempt to excite the crowd as the show went on, packets of Haribo sweets were offered to the audience - a gesture producers might now be regretting.

As Laura made her dramatic exit from the compound and down the eviction stairs, haters began launching their treats at the feisty redhead.

As gummies narrowly missed hitting her head, security were forced to intervene and remind guests that throwing items was not acceptable and that fans should express their opinions vocally.

Only 30 people gained entry into the room where Laura was interviewed, while the rest of the crowd watched on the screens - as they would at home.

Many who showed up are hardcore fans of BB and had attended most, if not all, of the evictions so far.

As they queued outside the studios for hours before the show, they practiced their chanting, exchanged stories from past shows and even addressed staff by their first name.

At one point during the recording, Emma said that she actually quite liked Laura and admitted that she wanted to see Jackson in the finale.

She also had a wardrobe malfunction and ripped a price tag off her coat on stage moments before the live broadcast began.
