I can't help but wonder how much influence Moffat has over this. The pace of the story is all over the place and things that should feel important aren't getting enough time to breath. Like I should give more of a **** that April's mum can apparently now walk again and the whole thing with the cabinet and Quill and Charlie seems to be focussed on vague details. I only understand all that a bit more because I paused it over the headteacher's file and read it
Plus the Shadow Kin could be amazing but it all feels so rushed that they're not getting enough of a chance to really be developed as the terrifying villains I think they're intended to be.
Having said that, I really like the idea of the flesh eating petals; That bit in next weeks where they're eating people on the streets looks horrifying
