Default Shocker: more Americans voted for Hillary than voted Trump (even though she lost)

According to this website ( http://www.nytimes.com/elections/results/president ) it is very likely that more Americans actually voted for Hillary than Trump even though she lost the election. This website has been remarkably accurate so I am going to assume that it is right. So Hillary won the popular vote but lost the electoral college. I thought it would have been the other way around. This would be the 5th time in US history that the person who got the most American votes did not become president (the last time was 2000 when Bush beat Gore).

We live in interesting times. I am thinking of this song a lot right now:
