The X Factor's new life line vote has been axed from the results show, its been claimed.
This year's live shows saw a new results twist where the bottom three contestants from the main vote faced a new online poll on the X Factor app.
Viewers had 5 minutes to save one of the three with the remaining two going forward into the sing off.
But after five weeks, reports have now claimed it's been AXED.
According to the Daily Star newspaper, the results show this weekend will instead revert to a straight forward sing-off between the bottom two contestants from the main vote.
Over the past five weeks the life line vote has proved controversial with Ryan Lawrie escaping the danger zone three times.
Last week saw Sam Lavery win the latest and possibly final vote after appearing in the bottom three for the first time.
As yet, The X Factor has not confirmed the report but no doubt an announcement will be made in tonight's show at 8PM on ITV.
It the lifeline vote does go it could well impact the results of tomorrow's elimination.
Bookies had originally tipped Sam to leave ahead of Ryan and Saara, potentially on the basis of Ryan again winning the life line vote.
But without it he could well find himself in the sing-off for the first time this year.
Although of course we may get a complete shock in the bottom two as the competition heats up.
The X Factor 2016 airs LIVE on ITV tonight from 8PM with the performances.
Then on Sunday night at 8PM the latest results will see another act leave, as well as performances from Olly Murs and Nathan Sykes.
