Default The Jump claims it's 1st casualty

Quote:
The Jump hasn't even officially started yet, but Vogue Williams has already become the first celebrity contestant to quit.

Vogue suffered a knee injury on Wednesday (February 1) after taking a serious tumble while practising on the ski cross at the show's Innsbruck, Austria course, according to The Sun.

A Channel 4 spokesperson has confirmed: "Vogue fell during training for ski cross yesterday injuring her knee which sadly means she can no longer continue in the competition."

A spokesperson for Vogue told Digital Spy: "Unfortunately, Vogue had a fall during a ski cross training session for The Jump and injured her knee, which means she will be unable to compete in the live shows starting this Sunday.

"It's a real shame as I know Vogue was having such a brilliant time. She is obviously gutted to be missing out on the full competition but we all knew the risks involved when she signed up and that these kind of things could happen."

The Jump will reportedly be replacing Vogue with a celebrity on standby, to be announced soon.

While Vogue has been knocked out of the competition, she wasn't actually the first contestant of the series to be hurt during the 2017 practice sessions.
