Default Liverpool and their fans dragged by Manchester Police

  • Middleton division tweeted joke about Liverpool in their road safety message
  • The force said: 'Use your mobile phone & drive as of today you'll end up with more points on your licence than Liverpool FC got throughout February......SIX'
  • In response, Anfield legend Robbie Fowler posted a screenshot of the force's complaints section, but later deleted the tweet and claimed he saw funny side'
  • Liverpool FC have had an abysmal February - picking up only three points

Will McPancake posted: 'Roaring. Expect absolute carnage at about 4pm when their fans get out of bed.'

Kevin Ashford wrote: 'Imagine the millions of tonnes of phlegm that is going to hit those Scouse floors when they finally discover this tweet?'

Another user said: 'Liverpool are even getting mugged by the police.'

Whipper Snapper added: 'This has to be the tweet of the year so far! Well done!'

But the tweet didn't appear to initially humour Fowler, 41, who scored more than 100 goals for Liverpool and also spells at Leeds United, Manchester City and Cardiff City.
