Heartache made her snub Brian
SEXY twin Amanda’s dad last night revealed the heartache that led her to snub smitten housemate Brian. Peter Marchant told how the blonde teenager was left heartbroken two years ago by an uncaring boyfriend — and has never got over it. He said: “Amanda was really let down by a lad and it’s changed her outlook on boyfriends. She was going out with a guy while she was at a college and really cared for him. But he didn’t show her much respect — he kept letting her down and it really affected her. “He’d say, ‘Let’s meet up’ or ‘Let’s go out for dinner’, and end up cancelling or not showing up. She’s not really had a relationship since.” Amanda and Brian, 20, set tongues wagging after snogging on the show — before she told him she just wanted to be friends. But this has not stopped Brian telling the 19-year-old that he is in LOVE with her — and still wants to see her after the show finishes. Office worker Peter, 46, from Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffs, said he would welcome the cider-loving Essex lad into the family if the pair did hook up. He said: “Brian seems like a lovely guy — I’m sure he’d make a great boyfriend. “He’s funny and has a big heart and I’m sure they could have hit it off in the real world.” Pete also revealed the twins Amanda and Sam’s dippy behaviour was for real, saying: “That’s just how they are — it’s no act! “They’re teenagers and teenagers these days sort of shut off anything they’re not interested in or bothered by. The girls haven’t got that many life skills but they’re young.” He added he had been watching them round the clock but he will not be able to attend the final show on Friday as he cannot get a ticket. Peter, who is divorced from the twins’ mum Janet, 47, said Channel 4 would only give two tickets to family members — so his ex is going with their other daughter Claire, 14. He admitted: “I’m disappointed but I’m told I wouldn’t get to see them too much anyway because of all the interviews and things they have to do. “I’ll be rooting for them though — they’ve done me proud, they deserve to win.” Source: TheSun.co.uk Click here for source article |
