You see... Yes it's a game, but there are different ways to play a game.
In BB, if you are actively playing it, two of the ways are that you can play the public, or include the public in your game.
The first involves making idiots of the viewing public. Aaron is a great example of this style. It can easily win, because most of the public don't even realise that they are being taken for a ride. It's sneaky and Machiavellian. I dislike snide HMs that take this route. I find it dishonest and cynical.
Including the public, the more honest way of playing the game, I am well behind. I find it hugely entertaining. Victor is a great example of this style. This style doesn't tend to win though, because if you are honest about playing the game the public tend to dislike you (they prefer to be played).
Sadly, Raph is falling more into the former right now. I hope he changes his approach soon, invests, and takes some risks. You can tell a LOT about a person in how they choose to play their games.
