![]() TiBB's Writing Annual Talent Competition Hello and welcome to the first ever TWAT competition! This contest has arrived to give those who enjoy creative writing a chance to compete with others, or for people completely new to have a go and try writing something for themselves (this sub-forum also needs a bit of traffic so I had to have an attention-seeking title ![]() I'd like to say thanks to Andy BigBro for inspiring me to create this contest due to his excellent Avatar Competition. How does it work? - There will be three catagories that you can submit your piece of writing to: Short Story, Poems and Songs. - After the deadline passes, there will be three heats of the competition where the public will vote for a winner out of each category. - Once there is a winner from each category there will be a winner decided by the public and the author will be crowned TWAT 2017 winner! (There will also be an award for the winner which will be revealed shortly). Rules 1. Each member can only submit one entry into each category (so three in total). 2. Each entry must be headed with which category you are submitting it under. 3. Creativity is open to interpretation but obviously a song has to have verses and a chorus, a poem can be any type of poem as long as it has a poem structure, and a short story can be anything from a narrative piece to a script for a new TV Show! 4. Each entry you submit must be your own work. No plagiarism! 5. There is no minimum word count for each entry, but obviously submitting something with three words in it isn't going to wow the public. The maximum word count is 2,000 words. 6. The deadline for submitting entries is Sunday December 31st 2017. This gives you just over two months to submit, so no entries will be accepted after this date. There is no theme for the first competition so just let those creative juices flow and see what you can come up with! Feel free to submit as many entries as you like down below as long as you make clear what your final submissions for each category will be before the deadline. Have fun and if you have any questions just ask away! |
