Default Brookie on More4

CHANNEL 4’s 25th anniversary will be marked by repeats of classic shows.

The first ever episodes of Brookside and Countdown which were broadcast on 2 November 1982 will be shown by More4.

Also to be screened again are the films Walter starring Sir Ian McKellen as a mentally handicapped man and The Comic Strip Presents… Five Go Mad In Dorset with Adrian Edmondson, Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders.

There’s another chance to see the first Vic Reeves’ Big Night Out; the drama Porterhouse Blue starring Sir David Jason; the original Eurotrash; Whose Line IS It Anyway? and US comedy The Golden Girls.

Influential figures in the station’s history including former chief executive Michael Grade, Jon Snow, Alan Bleasdale and Jamie Oliver will feature in the documentary Channel 4 At 25 on 30 September.
