BIG BROTHER runner-up Jason Cowan has launched a blistering attack on the show, claiming it was rigged to make him look "grumpy, moody and arrogant" so transsexual Nadia would win.

"It's not a reality show...it's a soap opera and Big Brother writes the script," blasted Jason, 30.

"I didn't have a chance of winning. Mind you, even Brad Pitt would have come second to Nadia."

He also claims Big Brother:

Last night Channel 4 emphatically denied that the show was rigged.

A spokesman said: "Unfortunately, every year after the show contestants think they have been portrayed badly.

"But they forget that the show is streamed 24 hours a day. And I can say wholeheartedly that the editing wasn't geared towards Nadia winning. It's the viewers who are in control."

That's not how Jason sees it. He insists Nadia should have been evicted after ‘fight night' when she SLAPPED him across the face after threatening to KILL him.

Viewers never saw the ugly scene, but Jason claimed: "She was screaming that she was going to kill me and then just hit me, leaving a red mark. She broke the rules by being violent and should have been evicted."

Jason reckons Nadia got away with it because Big Brother bosses were desperate for her to emerge the winner.

He stormed: "Big Brother in the UK was a flop last year. What did they need to make it a sexy, wild, interesting show? A transsexual!"

So, Jason claimed, the footage was edited to show him in the worst lightand Nadia in the best.

"I'm not surprised I wasn't popular. I would have voted me out," he fumed. "They portrayed me as grumpy, moody and arrogant. They manipulated it all. They never showed me cuddling and comforting the girls or having a laugh.

"Big Brother knew that Nadia as the winner was a smart move...and they orchestrated it to happen."

Jason reckons even Nadia's famous rants about running out of cigarettes were purposely doctored to whip up sympathy for her. He says in reality she was even worse!

"It was like living with a Jekyll and Hyde," says Jason. "Big Brother made it look funny, but it was no joke for us. It was sheer hell for us."

Nadia's constant cackle was no laughing matter either. "It was 24 hours a day," said Jason. "If Big Brother had shown how much she laughed, people wouldn't have found it funny."

Since the show ended last weekend Jason has been holed up at home in Glasgow brooding about what went on during his 10 weeks of "torture".

Of that alleged first Big Brother bonk, Jason said: "I took a pack of six condoms into the house. Stuart asked for one and I gave it to him. But I don't think he and Michelle had full sex.

"They certainly didn't use the condom. He told me he never used it. I think they wanted to give the impression they'd had full sex to boost their popularity with viewers." But Big Brother missed what may have been a real ratings winner.

"There were things that went on between me and Vanessa that the cameras didn't see," Jason revealed. "I'd never talk about things that went on between me and a woman, but we did get away with a few things."

Jason slumped into a depression after the fight on Day 20. He said: "It was exactly what Big Brother wanted. They fuelled the housemates with seven bottles of champagne and loads of other booze.

"There could have been serious casualties. When the food fight broke out I knew I was in a house full of delinquents.

"To escape, Vanessa and Shell hid in the toilet crying. But Nadia and Marco barged in on them, screaming. I knew how upset Vanessa and Shell were, so I pushed the other two out.
"That's when Nadia turned. She called Vanessa a ***** and said she was going to kill me and her. Then she slapped me across the face."

He added: "After that I totally regressed from Funtime Frankie into a depressed man. But they didn't show me being a bit down.

"They portrayed me as grumpy, aggressive and boring." Jason's biggest regret is the lies he told to get on the show.

He admitted: "I knew there'd be gay guys in there and thought Big Brother would love a bisexual, so I said I was one. But they never asked me if I'd slept with a bloke. I haven't ever.

"I haven't slept with 250 women either. It's more like 60."

Jason now worries the lies will ruin his chance of happiness. "All I want is to get married and have a family. But women will think I'm a slag," he said.

He's also fuming over the way Davina McCall greeted him when he left the house. "It knocked my confidence being booed, but she didn't care. She just wanted me out of the way to interview Nadia," said Jason.

Later when he read his Press cuttings, he wept. "It was too much. I don't like rejection," he said.

The only positive thing to come out of Big Brother is the prospect of meeting the mum who put him up for adoption when he was two. Jane Astrauskas, 46, got in touch via the show and the pair will meet next week.

He said: "The first thing she said was, ‘I love you and I always have'—words I'd waited to hear for a long time."
