Default Corrie Weekly Previews!

Monday 8 October 2007 7:30pm - 8:00pm on ITV1.

Cilla’s (Wendi Peters) convinced that she’s about to come into a fortune and wastes no time in telling everyone that she’s about to become a very wealthy woman and Weatherfield will be nothing more than a bad memory for her! But will Cilla's dreams come true?

Meanwhile, Jerry (Michael Starke) and Eileen (Sue Cleaver) have returned from their date and Jerry's puzzled to see that the takeaway is closed. Jodie’s (Samantha Seager) still angry with him for making her miss her date and tells him she’s taking the day off. Jerry keeps a lid on his temper and when Lloyd (Craig Charles) comes in, he tries to make amends by offering him some money to take Jodie out! Lloyd refuses but when Jodie gets wind of Jerry’s offer she’s furious with her dad. She confronts him about his interference and he promises that from now on he’ll let her live her own life. But can Jerry keep his promise? How long until he reverts back to treating her as a full-time nanny?

It’s a quiet day in the salon so Sarah (Tina O'Brien) decides to write her wedding invitations. Later, when David (Jack P Shepherd) spots the half written invitations in the back room he slyly addresses one to Todd. Is this part of his plan to ruin the nuptials?

Elsewhere, Sean’s (Antony Cotton) still feeling incredibly guilty after Violet’s (Jenny Platt) scare and decides to rethink his priorities. He vows to give up the partying and claims that from now on he’s a ‘born- again dad’ and Violet and the baby come first. But does Violet want Sean to be a dad to her baby?

Monday 8 October 8.30pm

Cilla (Wendi Peters) arrives at the solicitors in full grieving widow attire ready to receive her inheritance. However, she gets a real shock when she’s informed that all she’ll be getting is a cheque for £500 along with a long list of other women! She arrives home devastated that her dreams of being rich are shattered and struggling to make ends meet she decides to flog some of her possessions. After an unsuccessful attempt at selling meat back to Ashley (Steven Arnold) she decides to sell the necklace Frank gave her. Cilla's gutted when the jeweller tells her he will give her 'forty' for it, but manages to stretch him to forty five. However, when he starts to write her out a cheque for £45,000 she’s gob smacked! Will Cilla be leaving Weatherfield for somewhere more glamorous after all?

Jerry’s (Michael Starke) promise to Jodie (Samantha Seager) that she can have the weekend off quickly flies out of the window when a mate invites him on a boozy trip to Milan! Eileen (Sue Cleaver) quizzes Jerry about doing Jodie's shifts in the take-away but he reveals that he’s putting off telling her for the moment. How will Jodie feel when she discovers she's been lumbered with her dad’s responsibilities once again?

Sarah’s (Tina O'Brien) feeling uneasy about David (Jack P Shepherd) and is convinced he’s going to try and ruin her wedding, she’s just not sure how. Meanwhile, David puts his plan into action and heads out to post an invitation to Todd…

Elsewhere, Carla (Alison King) books a business trip away. Is she trying to run away from her feelings for Liam?

Wednesday 10 October 7.30pm

Cilla (Wendi Peters) can't decide how to spend her windfall and after spending an afternoon glued to the shopping channel, she eventually hits upon the idea of returning to Vegas for good! However, when Kirk (Andrew Whyment) enthuses about the idea claiming that Chesney (Sam Aston) will love it, Cilla's face falls and its clear Chesney doesn’t feature in her glamorous Vegas dream. However, when Chesney arrives home Cilla insists that although she’d love to make a fresh start in Vegas where no one knows her, she can't leave him and will try and find happiness in England. Chesney’s not convinced and knowing that his mum won’t be content unless she goes to Vegas, he tells her that he doesn't want to leave the Street but insists that she go without him. Will Cilla leave her son and follow her dreams?

Meanwhile, Vera’s (Elizabeth Dawn) not feeling well after all the recent tensions in the house, and Paul (Tom Hudson) manages to earn himself more brownie points when he suggests they go away to Blackpool for a few days for a change of scene! Tyrone (Alan Halsall) feels defeated when Jack (William Tarmey) entrusts Paul with Tyrone’s usual responsibility of looking after the pigeons and as soon as the Duckworth's are gone Molly (Vicky Binns) and Tyrone realise they are going to have to live with the 'real Paul' until they get back...

At the Italian, Roger (Andrew Dunn) and Janice (Vicky Entwistle) arrive for another free meal and for once Leanne’s (Jane Danson) grateful that they’re there when there’s a leak in the loos. She asks him to take a look and Roger reluctantly agrees but is tired of being a soft touch and surprises Leanne when he charges her for his services, making it clear that whilst Leanne owes him thousands he needs every penny he can get and won’t be giving her freebies! Will Leanne start to take Roger seriously and cough up?

Elsewhere, Jodie (Samantha Seager) and Lloyd (Craig Charles) excitedly make plans for her weekend off that is until Jerry (Michael Starke) reveals that he’s jetting off to Milan and she’ll have to baby-sit! Will Jodie let her Dad take advantage again, or will she put her foot down this time?

Friday 12 October 7.30pm

Cilla’s (Wendi Peters) packing for Vegas and Chesney (Sam Aston) is trying his best to look happy but he’s clearly struggling. Cilla eases her conscience by giving Kirk (Andrew Whyment) a grand each for Chesney and Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) and when Kirk realises she’s not told Fiz yet he warns her that it’s a mistake. Unconcerned, she boasts to everyone in the pub about her new life, but when Fiz finds her mum’s one way ticket to Vegas she’s furious and storms into the Rovers to give her errant mother a piece of her mind. As Fiz berates her mum for abandoning her son, the atmosphere in the Rovers turns sour as everyone realises that she’s unashamedly planning on deserting poor old Chesney. Will Cilla's conscience catch up with her or will she go through with it?

Meanwhile, Molly (Vicky Binns) and Tyrone (Alan Hasall) go to look at a flat but are getting increasingly wound up by Paul (Tom Hudson) and Molly is starting to realise that Tyrone was right, he is not to be trusted. Despite the flat being suitable, she tells Paul that they are staying put for Jack and Vera's sake. Will Paul continue to manipulate things now that he knows they're keeping a watchful eye on him?

Leanne (Jane Danson) is in a good mood after a great review of the restaurant in a local magazine, but when Roger (Andrew Dunn) hints that maybe now he'll start to get his money back, Janice (Vicky Entwistle) has had enough and accuses him of only staying around because Leanne owes him money. Will Janice and Roger be reconciled or will they let Leanne's debt come between them?

Elsewhere, Kevin (Micahel Le Vell) and Jerry (Michael Starke) look forward to their weekend away whilst Jodie (Samantha Seager) has reached breaking point with her dad. Will Jodie continue to put up with it?

Friday 12 October 8.30pm

Paul (Tom Hudson) arrives at the restaurant to see two heavies, Gary and Stuart, waiting at the bar for him and beats a hasty retreat home. Meanwhile, when Gary and Stuart realise that Paul's not coming into the restaurant, Stuart explains to Leanne(Jane Danson) that Paul used to work for him and on top of other indiscretions, he stole £500 from the till that he wants back. Leanne is backed into a corner when they threaten to take the money from her and is forced to tell them where Paul lives. She calls to warn him but he panics when there's a knock at the door and begs Tyrone (Alan Halsall) to help him. After all Paul's put Tyrone through will he save him? And if he does how will things change at the Duckworth’s once the balance of power swings in Tyrone’s favour?

Meanwhile, everyone’s worried about how Chesney (Sam Aston) is going to cope on his own and when Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) discovers that Kirk’s (Andrew Whyment) spent a chunk of the £1000 Cilla left him on a brand new games console she’s furious. Concerned John (Graeme Hawley) asks Fiz if she thinks Kirk is capable of looking after a thirteen year old boy and Fiz isn’t so sure. But when he suggests involving social services, she cuts him short determined that that they’ll make it work somehow. But with Kirk only just capable of looking after himself, will Fiz realise she’s bitten off more than she can chew?

Over at the Grimshaw’s, Eileen (Sue Cleaver) is bemused when she receives a call from Todd saying he’s received an invitation for the stag do and the wedding. Will David’s attempt to stir up trouble go according to plan?

Elsewhere, Kevin (Michael Le Vell) and Jerry (Michael Starke) leave for Milan much to the annoyance of both Jodie (Samantha Seager) and Sally (Sally Whittaker). Will Jodie still be there to support Jerry when he returns?
