We never thought we'd see the end of it, but Pat Phelan's relentless reign of terror in Coronation Street is finally, officially, drawing to a close.

How exactly Phelan will get his comeuppance, though, is yet to be confirmed.

While we certainly have our theories, there are rumours that Phelan – played by Connor McIntyre – will meet a grisly end at the hands of his wife Eileen.

According to a report in The Sun, Eileen is set to channel her inner-Janine Butcher (EastEnders-Corrie crossover, anyone?) and push her husband off a cliff.
