Not necessarily. Just months ago, a man logged on to a chatroom, announced that he wanted to kill himself, and most of the users took it with a pinch of salt, very few took it seriously, and some people even goaded him on to do it. In the end, the man actually did kill himself.

I personally don't know what to believe, but whether it's true or false then it is serious. If it's true, he needs help and not accusations of being a fake. If it is false, then it's very despicable of him. I hope he's not serious and at the same time I hope he's not. But if he is serious, I don't think I could live with myself if I made such accusations as him being a fake, no matter how likely, logical, and rational they seemed at the time.
