i had a chest infection last september, my gp said it was caused by an unusual bacteria ur not supposed to get unless u have some kind of lung problem so i was referred to see a specialist. the appointment for that came through in mid-january. he sent me to have a ct scan, which came through for mid-march. at the start of april i was asked to go in for a nitric oxide test (
) and the person who did that said "so u have bronchiectasis then yeah??" and i'm like what this is news to me lol idk anything about that, then she didn't say anything else about it.one month later i hear nothing back so i called the hospital they said my appointment is due for the end of july lol i won't even be in leeds by then and two weeks after that i'll be moving to south korea. she said she'll get the doc to dictate a letter with results on and send it to me. i've still heard nothing back, it's been almost three weeks. in two weeks i'm leaving uni and going home. how do i get these god damn ct scan results?? it's been almost a year since i was referred and i still know nothing it's ridiculous. can i phone up again and get someone to tell me over the phone? can i book a gp appointment and find out through them? i wanna know whether that nitric oxide lady slipped that i have bronchiectasis by accident or if she just assumed it or whatever ughhh Last edited by RichardG; 20-05-2018 at 09:46 PM. |

Speak to your GP. If your original referral was by the GP they will either have the results or be.able to chase them. Xx

The GPs and receptionists here in Scotland can go on a hospital site to get test results, if you ask. I don't know if it is different in England, but probably not.
