I can't say that surprises me in the slightest. Simon seems the type of person who probably would visit a strip club, and have no qualms about it whatsoever despite having a girlfriend. That's part of his general image/persona as well, and accounts for a lot of his appeal to the opposite sex.

Having said that, I find the accusations about him having affairs with acts on the X Factor etc. a little disturbing, what with the rumours about Leona last year and then Louis throwing a knife in the works with the 'Hope' comment on Saturday night. Although it was probably said in jest (even if it didn't sound that way), it's not something to joke about in the sense that a lot of people probably secretly think he behaves in an inappropriate manner with those he mentors, which is uncalled for. The media in particular emphasises such points.
